Diabetesalicious Lite: December Blog Giveaways, FDA Deadline, The Cost of Diabetes, Vibe Approved & Diabetes Burnout

It's December 3rd and I haven’t written a proper blog post yet  - And I’m sorry about that, things have just been a bit hectic in life as of late.
The whole post Thanksgiving rush of things, tech issues up the wazoo and having nothing to do with diabetes (thank goodness,) and deadlines that have me feeling buried, but in a great way.
Also: I can’t breathe through my nose - Not that it really matters. Still, it would be nice if I could. But... I digress.
Some things worth mentioning:
Next week starts a series a giveaways on the blog & I'm stoked for that! Every December I try and lighten the mood up a bit by giving away some goodies. I hope you’ll enter & good luck in advance!

December 4th (as in tomorrow,) is the last day to let the FDA know how you feel by responding to the open docket on the FDA’s Activities for Patient Participation in Medical Product Discussions (Docket number FDA-2014-N-1698
Stephen Shaul wrote about it last week and has a step-by-step on how to leave a comment, including examples! And then StripSafely goes a step further by providing you a link to leave a link to the page that you need to leave your comment on. Talk about one stop shopping!  Click HERE and take advantage!
Your voice matters, it takes all of 5 minutes to leave a comment. DO IT!

I know you already know this because it’s been all over the internetz, the Animas Vibe & Continuous Glucose Monitoring System received FDA approval. I'm all about options and the Vibe is another one for PWDs on pump therapy! And just in case you've been living under a rock, here's a link to the press release!

Christel over at the does a breakdown of the cost of diabetes medications and equipment & supplies and it’s freaking eye-opening! CLICK, HERE & READ IT.

Lastly, I wrote THIS post about Diabetes Burnout over at, a project of The National Register of Psychologists.
I hope you’ll check it out and I hope you can relate~
