HFCS - ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?!

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

The ads for HFCS have been driving me nuts! How can we have HFCS in "moderation" when it's in absolutely EVERYTHING?
This crap's banned in Europe - High Fructose Corn Syrup - not my blog. And not those ridiculously condescending commercials that are filled with bull$h*t, unfortunately.

I've been "on my big D Soap Box regarding HFCS here at Diabetesaliciousness almost since I started blogging because I think it's horrible, and is destroying America's health and farm lands.

#########
Scott S wrote a terrific piece regarding HFCS and it's worth a few minutes of your time to get informed. Great job Scott! And thanks for the "Shout Out!"

THIS IS MORE LIKE IT!

Yeah, I saw this and laughed, even though it wasn't all that funny. Think of King Corn and the scene where they try to make HFCS and makes me question just how natural is that? Its as natural as obese toddlers!

What a relief to know - because I've been snacking on the lead paint chips that are flaking off my hall ceiling. Only in moderation, of course, but they are low in carbs. ;)

I have not seen that ad before now. Wow, I laughed at how ridiculous it is.

The second clip is awesome.

Scott -
I laughed as well, then I got REALLY pissed.
"King Corn" was great, and the scene you mention just goes to show us that there is indeed nothing natural about it! We can't even eat Yellow Dent # 2 - the corn that HFCS is made from.
In its natural form, in un-edible!

Karen -
I bet lead paint chips in mercury dip would be both tasty and low carb! Of course, ony in moderation!;)

George -
The series of ads are running and are driving me crazy on a daily basis! & yes, the are SO RIDICULOUS. I agree with you,the mock commercial was GREAT!

Sadly, people believe this crap. I mean, statistically, Americans started being overweight around the time that Corn Syrup was introduced as a regular part of the diet.

Crap... does this mean I shouldn't be sucking the mercury out of thermometers?

George said...

Oh no Lee Ann. You are fine as long as its in MOD-UR-RAAAAAY-SHUN!

George - I SWEAR, I WAS JUST ABOUT TO WRITE THAT...BACON!

Lee Ann -
Moderation is key in any sucking down of mercury products! You don't want full brain poisoning, just a little of that mercury contact high~

Funny how many of us see the weight/ HFCS connection, and HFCS manufacturers don't!

I can't stand those commercials. They make all the research magically go away! Except not.

Right on! They think we're stupid, cause everyone knows that pretty pictures must mean that they're telling us the truth!

Every time one of those commercials comes on, my right eye starts to twitch, and i have the insane urge to swear like a Times Square hooker and throw red popcicles at my TV.

See? HFCS makes you batshit crazy.

You are a true word smith!
I could not have said it better myself! I am so f-ing impressed with your phrasing - and just a tad envious ;)

Glad to hear from you!
I think the 2nd commercial was actually mocking the terrible acting/script/concept of the original. Which, as we know is completely FULL OF SHIT!

LOL, I was really hoping you'd see those ads and get angry. Otherwise I was going to point them out to you so you could make an angry blog post.
