JDRF Las Vegas Is Offering You The Chance To Be A T1 Movie Star!

##################
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
@jdrfLasVegas Nevada chapter had a really great idea to have people of all ages (including adults) with type 1 diabetes to share their stories with pictures & videos during their Hope Gala being held on May 9th, 2014
Unfortunately, they didn't get as many participants as they would've liked and a viral call has gone out to the DOC - And this would be where you come in. YEP, this is your chance to be the star of your own t1 movie - Seriously, HOW COOL IS THAT!
WHAT THEY NEED FROM YOU.
SUPER short video clips or even just pictures about living with T1D.  @JDRFNevada will do all the editing, which is awesome because I'm not so gifted when it comes to video editing!
Here's the thing: We as people living with t1 or who have loved ones with t1, know first hand that most people are clueless as to what our daily lives are like when it comes to living with t1.
This is your opportunity to show them by documenting a part of YOUR life with D, using you iPhone or computer.
Record small video snippets from your daily life - examples can include you checking your blood sugar in the morning, at school/work, during sports or working out, managing your diabetes in front of friends/co-workers, counting carbs, etc.
Show the world how you manage your life living with TYPE ONE.

HOW EXACTLY DO I MAKE THIS HAPPEN ?
If you have an iPhone this will be easy.
Record 1 minute snippets, looking/speaking directly into the camera and film all videos in a Landscape format  (sideways, not vertical,) a
nd incorporate the following phrases into your video:
“I have TYPE ONE”
(You say this)
“We need a cure” or “They need a cure” or “Together we can find a cure”
(Anyone can say this…friend, family, kids you know…anyone)

Talk about your day, your D challenges and D victories! You can mention how new D technology makes your life easier, anything at all… and then export it to your desk top and send it to Kristin at Kristin@kristinarntz.com

Then download the clips to your computer and send them to Kristin@kristinarntz.com via email or drop box.
If you need additional help with this process, give the producer Kristin Arntz a ring at 626-253-7511

For those of you who'd like to try a video via your computer, no problem!
Talk directly to the camera via the Photobooth App (that's what I'm using) or any other recording method you like to use.

WHEN DO THEY NEED MY VIDEO BY?
YESTERDAY! Seriously though, As soon as possible! The deadline has been extended until April 27th.

@JDRF Nevada hopes to have a variety of activities and stories in the video snippits you send, including video footage from JDRF events you've attended or participated in. Also: Feel free to include pictures, or other visuals to help tell your story.

WHERE DO I SEND THE FOOTAGE AGAIN?

argh... Yesterday would have been the PERFECT day for me to do this. A friend brought treats into work so I shared some and went a little high, then I did a climbing workout and dropped a little low... the clip I'd have been missing is an infusion set change.

Thank you so much Kelly!

I hope they get a lot of submissions now!!

She told me to contact my "DOC friends." I am not sure they know how many of us that is! :)
