Thought provoking Signage in and around PhiladelphiaSo I'd just parked my car and was on my way to see a client when I came upon this signage @ 15 & Bainbridge.
Hmmmm, Interesting way to get your point across, thought I - and quick grabbed my iPhone & snapped a few picks.
I also wondered: Are people aware of what an A1c is and why it's so important??
But on the positive side, the term is out there for all to see - diabetic or not. And hopefully, they will go to their Dr. and seek the answer.

America, Scare Tactics cause PANIC! Panic causes fear then most people are simply afraid to "Find Out."

That would stop me in my tracks too. As you said, hopefully, it'll at least get some folks to find out what an A1c is since we're the only ones who seem to know. Of course, there was a time when people didn't understand cholesterol numbers either, but it seems that many people have a better sense of what's good and what's bad for cholesterol. Not that it's common knowledge exactly, but I think the American Heart Association has done a lot to try and educate people, and it helped. That's my perception anyway, and I hope the ADA can do the same for the A1c.
Next time I'm in the city, I'll be on the look-out for those signs!
