Not Quite Wordless Wednesday: One Ticket To Farhampton, Please.

So the cat's out of the bag and I can FINALLY talk about it!!!!! 
As many of you already know, my niece Cristin Milioti was cast as the "MOTHER" in "How I Met Your Mother!" 
The season finale (where she made her first appearance,) aired on Monday May 13, during Diabetes Blog Week - which I was participating in full throttle - But I did tweet and post about it on my Facebook page - Like, A LOT - As did many of you!
Cut to last week, which was all about gathering info re: diabetes donations from D companies for PWDs (people with diabetes) in Oklahoma effected by the tornado & in need of diabetes supplies, and dealing with nerve tests jacking up both hands & wrists in regards to a nasty ass case of carpel tunnel!
So yeah, I'm just getting around to "officially" posting about it now. 

I am beyond thrilled and proud of my girl! 
I've had the amazing joy of seeing her in all of her performances since she was little, and then watched over the years as the rest of the world discovered what Cristin's family has known all along - SHE'S MAGNIFICENT.

Speaking of Joy, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fact that I've had the opportunity to share Cristin's most recent career milestones  with the Diabetes Online Community these past 5 years. 
And being able to share wonderful news about someone I love so much and am so incredibly proud of, with a community I love so much & so am incredibly proud of, was and IS indeed the fantastical gift that keeps on giving!

Almost Wordless Wednesday: D-O-C Special Delivery~

Is this post late? Yep & it's all my fault.

I have to be honest, I didn't realize how emotional celebrating 35 years with diabetes would be until I started receiving Diaversary cards in mid October, about 2 weeks before October 31st, a.k.a., Halloween & my 35 Diaversary.
 Every time I went to the mailbox I'd burst into to tears after reading that days card/ cards - They made me feel loved and brought with them a DOC tri-fecta of tears, smiles and laughter at every glance.
And I'm still overwhelmed with the DOC Tri-fecta every time I read them. 
These cards arrived before, during and after Hurricane Sandy & they helped get me through some tough times. And while I didn't get to celebrate my 35th Diaversary the way I wanted, I felt incredibly loved and blessed none the less! 

Little did I know (until a little flower headed bird told me,) that Penny from ASweetGrace was behind Operation Diaversary Card!

It seems that our gal Penny sent a few emails out and the cards began to show up! 
Penny and Grace have always made me smile, both in IRL (in real life) and on -line and the fact that they spearheaded the Diaversary card movement just shows you how huge their hearts are!
So a ginormous THANK YOU from the bottom of my busted pancreas for all the DOC LOVE that was (and continues to be,) sent my way on a daily basis and REDONKULOUS amounts of  XOXOXOXOXO to Penny, Grace and the entire DOC family!  

YOU GUYS  = AWESOME!!!
