#WaybackWednesday: Diabetes And The Energizer Bunny

A #WayBackWednesday pic that will hopefully make you chuckle!
I shot this pic from a rooftop terrace on the upper WestSide, Thanksgiving Day, 2011.
1. It reminded me of people with diabetes, because we keep going.. and going...and even when we don't feel like it.
2. Also, I immediately checked the status of my pump batteries...just in case!
Sidebar: I originally posted this picture on the blog in December, 2011.
Just like people with diabetes, the Energizer Bunny keeps going...
and going...and going.

Diabetes Emoji

Do you think that diabetes is trying to tell me
that it wants its own official Diabetes emoji/emojis?
No joke and this is NOT photoshop guys.

THIS is what I saw when I looked down at my fingers
after I checking my blood sugar this morning (it was 111😁.)
FTR, that's my blood, not a Sharpie drawn smiley face~

Pretty damn trippy!

HOLY CRAP, That Ginormous Sweet Potato Looks Like A Pancreas!

I went to by my local Farmers Market early this morning,
stopped at a stand and saw this ginormous sweet potato
and was like:

"HOLY CRAP!

THAT GINORMOUS SWEET POTATO LOOKS LIKE A PANCREAS!"
It totally does - and now you can't unsee it.

And then I bought it for a whopping 50 cents.
You read right - it cost 50 freaking cents!
It really is ginormous & weighs 3 pounds.
It's bigger than my face.

And someone @ the farmers market has the pic to
prove it!

Also, I have no idea how long to bake because, WOW.
I bought these strawberries, too because DAMN!

Way Back Wednesday: Summoning The Diabetes Gods

I originally wrote the following post way back on 5/4/2011, a lot has changed in my life since then, but not my affinity for calling out to the Diabetes Gods whenever I need them.

Hope you can relate to the following and I hope it makes you smile!
######
I'm not religious, but I am highly spiritual & highly spirited - Just ask the people at Readers Digest "The Bible Cure for Diabetes" shmuck who thought prayer was the way to cure diabetes!

I was raised Catholic by a Protestant mother and a Catholic father who later found out that there was more than a very good chance that he was part Jewish on his father's side.
I take a little bit from all the religions and try my best to be a good person.

I believe in praying and I believe in giving thanks.

Personally, I think the Dali Lama is a wise man, and I love that he wants people to focus on their similarities, not their differences. Regardless of whether or not their differences involve religion, politics, or the age old Mets vs Yankees fans conundrum!

I find religion in songs like "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "Let It Be," and "Private Universe."
I feel religion in nature - the ocean takes my breath away and flowers make me happy,
and I find the congregation I feel most at home in is The Church Of Helping Others.

But every now in then I call on "The Diabetes Gods," especially when my numbers or wonky or I'm contemplating pasta. And just so we're clear, I'm not calling them to cure or fix my diabetes. I'm calling on them purely for entertainment.~

These deities only exist in my imagination of course, but they help me smile just the same.
The make me laugh, which helps me to cope & get on with the business of getting on with my life.

Summoning the Diabetes Gods goes something like this:

Goddess of the Bolus & Basal Rates, PLEASE help me figure out this lasagna in all it's cheesy glory!

God of the everlasting Insulin Pump Battery - Please don't let my battery crap out before I get home!

Most times I'm more generic re: which Diabetes God I'm referring to and include them all by say something along the lines of: Hey Diabetes Gods, PLEASE stop my numbers from going all batshit and help my correction bolus to get my blood sugars back in normal range!

OR: Hey Diabetes Gods, I'm making a ceremonial offering to you in the form of a Crumbs Bake Shop cupcake - Hope you'll be pleased with both the cupcake and my bolus to cover said cupcake!
Sidebar: This one is a personal favorite!

What can I say, I also find my religion in humor, and damn if calling on the Diabetes Gods every now and then doesn't make me LOL as I'm figuring out my diabetes math, bolus and or temporary basal rate!

And before people get all judgmental on me, I also pray to the God of found Parking SpacesThe Goddess of 5 lbs lostThe Rocket Surgeon God and the God Of The Good Tailor!

Lasso'd By My Insulin Pump Tubing - AGAIN

And lucky for me, DOCers on the twitter related and laughed with me.
Basically, yours truly walked into her kitchen, turned the corner and was literally lasso’d by one of her stove's gas burner knobs.
The knobs (dials?) rest on the front of the stove and directly above the oven door, not on tap, which keeps things interesting
The more I tried to untangle myself, the more tangled up I became.
And of course I reached for my phone to document, but it was in the other room... on the couch.
I tried the stove's knob/dial, but that sucker was on there tight and having hand surgery didn’t help the situation.
I finally disconnected from my pump infusion site and was able to pry the knob off with my hands, then I slowly untangled form the 1/2 an inch metal part thingy that the dial/knob fit on.

Crisis averted and I laughed out loud because:
A. It was funny
B. Nothing terrible happened, being mad would have been wasted energy.

Thanks to my pump tubing, I’ve also been lasso’d by doorknobs, ledges, edges, my car’s emergency break, seat belts, the occasional belt loop (mine and others,) body parts, (mine and others,) and everything in-between.
It’s part of the living with the “job” that is diabetes, and wearing an insulin pump with tubing.
And yes, I know that I can tape the tubing to my abdomen, but my belly real-estate is limited.

BUT I may try taping the tubing, thus making it look like an actual lasso.... Also,

Squad Goals
I think we can all agree that if we didn't laugh at the D craziness, we'd go nuts.
And personally, I need more laughs as of late

So if you’ve been lasso’d with your pump’s tubing or some other D accessory, feel free to share ... or not.

Either way, I hope this post made you smile!

#TBT: Diabetes Life And Calling All Midvale Alum ~

Originally posted the following on 2.14.08, back when the blog was all sorts of new.
As of late my life has been a series of occurrences right out of The Far Side cartoons and captions in real life, so I thought I'd revisit this post - Hope you dig.
####

OK - favorite"Far Side" pic ever!

The above carton reminds of me of this life of mine.

While I'm an excellent dancer when the music is on, I'm a bit clumsy in real life...on occasion. Sometimes the blatantly obvious, is not so very for those of us who are Midvale alum.

For instance.....I've actually put my my pump battery in backwards and then wondered why "the damn thing wouldn't work!"

I've walked into, and almost through a screen door - with coffee in hand. No damage to the screen, but I ended up wearing my coffee.

I've put my test strip in the machine upside down and then wondered where the area was to place my drop of blood.

Once, in High School when I was deep in conversation with my 3 best buds, I actually walked smack into Stop sign because I was enthralled over my friends latest escapades, I looked at them instead of looking ahead. I don't know which hurt more, my head or my pride.

I used to give my insulin
shots through my clothes to save time - andto secretly impress my friends. Of course, only when I was wearing white or some other light color, would a drop of blood decide to appear. Ironically it never once happened when I was wearing black, purple, or blue.

We all know about pump tubing and doorknobs. It's a global issue, nuff said.

I won't even tell you how I broke my arm a few years ago. Let's just say it involved preventing
a cordless phone from falling down a flight of 16 steps - by blocking its descent at the top of the stairs,
I inadvertently caused myself to fall and ended up at the bottom.

We all push when we should pull at times, but we learn and move forward just the same.
It's very similar to dealing with our Diabetes. Just when we think we know it all about this disease, it throws us curve ball or two, forcing us to learn yet another set of rules regarding the Big D.
And we do, because we can....And because we must.

Colgate Total's #30DaysOfLOL - It's A Wrap!

As ColgateTotal® and The American Diabetes Association’s  #30daysofLOL comes to an end, I’ve had a lot of fun  - and I’ve also been continually reminded of certain constants re: living the D life, and learned a few important lessons in the process.

The Constants
Humor: Coping with diabetes is a lot easier when you can laugh - Humor is what keeps me sane when diabetes is on the edge of driving me bonkers.
Community: The DOC (Diabetes Online Community,) is who keeps me sane when diabetes is on the edge of driving me bonkers.
Type 3’s matter: People who love someone with diabetes (Type 3s,) lighten our load and make us smile.
Every Diabetes Voice Matters: Keep using yours!

The Lessons
  1. Sugary snacks are not the best for our teeth - OK, I already knew that - but I tend to selectively block that fact out every now and then and for many reasons, namely chocolate and caramel
  2. People with diabetes are at twice the risk for developing gum disease.
These facts scare me because I worked in a Dentist’s office for a time and I saw things that brought the above facts to life, and I want my teeth and gums to stay healthy for two reasons
  1. Vanity, maintaining my healthy smile
    B. My overall health, knowing I am at a higher risk for serious gum problems because of diabetes.

3. I brush my teeth a lot  - I even carry my own toothpaste - but I didn’t know that brushing for two minutes at a 45 degree angle, every time we brush our teeth is important

4. Also, I didn’t know that 2 minutes worth of brushing is about the length of a pop song (SEE VIDEO,) or that t3 Joey Fatone’s Dad has diabetes.

Sidebar and FTR: Joey Fatone still has mad Robot, groovy dance moves. Again - SEE VIDEO.

So to all those who participated, posted, liked, tweeted, retweeted and shared in the #30DaysofLOL fun - THANKS from the bottom of my busted pancreas!

ColgateTotal® and The American Diabetes Association thanks you too!

ColgateTotal® has created the #30DaysofLOL Word Game graphic below so you can continue getting your silly on~

This is Pancreas 1, The Islets Have Landed. I REPEAT: THE ISLETS HAVE LANDED. Over.

Sometimes I amuse myself~
######

The other night I was on my way to pickup my latest takeout addiction, Mexican Chicken & Jalapeno Cesar Salad (SO DAMN TASTY and easy on the blood sugars that I've ordered it like 3 times in 8 days) and was  waiting for the light to turn green so I could walk across the street and pick up my much anticipated grub.

And that would be when I noticed the lady standing next to me was staring at my insulin pump tubing that was dangling out around my waist. The pump was covered by my shirt, but the tubing was dangling and all loop, de loopy.
And above mentioned lady was really staring.... Like wanting to reach out and and yank out my tubing just to see what the hell it was connected to, type of staring.

And instead of starting a conversation about diabetes and insulin pumps like I normally would, I grabbed my insulin pump, ran my fingers up the tubing and put the pump up to my mouth and said: This is Pancreas 1, the Islets have landed. I repeat, THE ISLETS HAVE LANDED. Over.

And then the light changed and said lady looked at me like I was completely crazy and high tailed it to the other side of the street faster than you can say: Islet of Langerhans.
Yeah, I know it was wishful thinking and incredibly sarkalicious on my part, but I couldn't stop laughing!!

LOLing About Diabetes Over At Discuss Diabetes

Today you can find me & talking about laughter and diabetes over at Discuss Diabetes  website with Sanofi's Laura Kolodjeski & The Bad Diabetic's Patrick O'Hara & I'm honored that they asked me to join in the "discussion."
Using humor when it comes to dealing with my diabetes is a huge coping mechanism for me & I can honestly say that laughing about my diabetes helps me own my diabetes.
Laughing helps me deal with the blood sugar ups and downs, the diabetes tears, the annoying and ever so present Diabetes Police/idiots, the Diabetes What-If's & everything else that living with diabetes 365 days a year brings.

And lets face it,  if you live with diabetes or other chronic illnesses, you can't help but have a twisted sense of humor!  And those of us with busted pancreases & wonky metabolisms are all a bit bent - but in a great way ;)

Please check out the LOL discussion over @ Discuss Diabetes & have a great April Fool's Day & continue to be twisted!

Wordless Wednesday: Psych!!

So when people ask me my insulin pump automatically tests my blood sugar, I put my loner insulin pump up to my head and say:

Nooooo... It tests my blood sugar psychically.....

Did You Just Call Me A Dbag?

Two salty posts in a row - And it's all diabetes fault!
######

My friend, who is much more proper than I could ever be (and who for the rest of this post shall be referred to as Eve,) stared at me for a second & said: What did you just call me?

Me: I didn’t call you anything.

Eve: Wait, what did you just say?

Me: I said, hold on a second, I gotta grab my dbag.

And she still looked at me like I had 3 heads.
I grabbed my Chinese silk blue bag from my hand bag and said: You know, my dbag, my diabetes bag.

Eve: Ohhhhh, I didn’t hear the “I gotta grab my,” part.

Me: Oh OK, so you thought I said: Hold on a second, dbag. As in Masingill’s disposable Dbag or it's competition, Summer's Eve, Momdoyoueverhaveoneofthosedayswhereyoudon'tfeelsofresh? dbag.

Eve: YAY, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT!
And then Eve started to crack up, like A LOT - because Eve was lot more cheekier than the majority of people give her credit for.

Me: No.... I didn’t call you that.... not this time, anyway.

Diabetes humor - Take it where you can find it!
This Dbag
Not this dbag

Definitely not this dbag

Diabetes Dancer As Stunt Woman.

I'm an excellent dancer, but for the life of me #IcantWalkAndFixedPrimeAtTheSameTime. #FACT
#####

Diabetes Dancer in the Middle~
And thanks to a certain "singing nurse" for posting on "the facebook!"

So I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m an excellent dancer when the music is playing, heck I was an honest to goodness tap dancer after all. But when the music's off..... Not so much.
On Tuesday night after driving home from #ada2012 in the rain and dragging my suitcase in the house in said pouring rain. I immediately unpacked,("Oh, if only I had done that when I moved" she said with a SIGH,)  showered and put on my most comfy PJs. Then I grabbed a yogurt for dinner and  I made myself my old standby: A GINORMOUS glass of Seltzer water with extra lime squeezed fresh and a dash of Cranberry juice. And by dash I mean the water turns pale pink color and it’s virtually carb free.
I was tired and all I wanted to do was sit down on my couch and veg-out. And that’s exactly what I did. I ate my yogurt ( I love me some Greek Berry Yogurt)  and drank my “bubbly water” and watched TV.
Then about 20 minutes later I  looked down at my pump and realized that I had 5 units left - And I also needed to crack open a fresh bottle of insulin.
So instead of putting my seltzer on the coffee table ( I didn’t have coaster handy and I’m really trying to be good about that,) I placed my ginormous glass of seltzer with a dash of cranberry and extra lime gingerly on the carpet next to the couch and made a mental note to walk around the parameter of the seltzer, not directly in its path, and that’s exactly what I did.
I went to my fridge’s butter compartment, grabbed a bottle of insulin a reservoir and infusion set. BTW, have I ever mentioned that  my new “thing” is keeping a hand full of reservoirs & infusion sets in my butter compartment along with my insulin?
Ironically, I don’t actually keep any butter whatsoever in there, but I digress. If you keep a few reservoirs/infusion sets in there, every time you open a new bottle of insulin, it’s one less diabetes step you don’t have to do. And I’m all about diabetes time saving.
So anyway, I stood at the counter and put in a new infusion set and filled my reservoir, Primed, Rewind (Rewond?) , Manually Primed, and then Fixed Primed my pump all nice and lickety split like.

Then I walked back to the living room and had just made another mental note to walk no where near the ginormous glass of seltzer (and I steered clear), and was just about to sit back down on the couch, when I decided to look at my pump to see how far along my fixed prime was.
And somehow right at the exact moment I was looking down at my  pump, I tripped over my own two feet and my insulin pump flew in the air and it narrowly missed smashing onto the top of the coffee table (same goes for my head on the corner of the coffee table) and I fell onto the couch instead of the floor. Me thinks this might not have happened if the music had been blaring.....

And had a camera been rolling I easy could have won $10,000 and maybe been offered a job in Hollywood as a Diabetes Stunt Woman.
And my glass of ginormous seltzer water with a dash of cranberry and extra fresh squeezed lime?? Well, that was now all over my carpet and I ran to the kitchen and grabbed some tea towels and started to clean up the mess I’d just created.

Seriously folks, you can’t make this sh*t up.

People With Diabetes & Word Association: The Way We Think Is Different!

As people with diabetes we look at things slightly different because that's just how it is - And that different way of thinking carries into almost all aspects of our life.

For instance when I see the following items/terms, diabetes certainly comes into mind - but in a person living with diabetes type of way. Am I making sense??

#######

Juice: Something I drink to treat a low, not because I just feel like having a glass of juice.

Juice Box: Exactly 15 grams pre-measured to treat a low without actually having to measure.

Unicorns: The Diabetes On-line Community.

Glitter: Unicorn poop and the DOC and a very weird looking Unicorn Poop Cookie that may or may not be bolus worthy.

Community: FIRST: The Diabetes On-line Community... And SECOND, the much under-appreciated & brilliant television show of the very same name.

Cupcakes: A Bolus Worthy treat I CAN EAT!

Bacon: AMAZING.

Insulin: Banting & Best’s elixir of life.

Insulin: Expensive elixir of life that insurance companies refuse to reduce the cost on.

Doorknobs: Insulin pump D-A-N-G-E-R.

Insulin Pump: Robot Pancreas with an unnatural and unholy attraction to doorknobs.

Uppercase: W and M :Dexcom/ CGM. Thanks for the visual, Kerri!

Uttering the phrase "I'm high," is all about the numbers, not about the altered state brought on by an illegal substance.

Paper Cut: has me thinking that I need to immediately find myself a Test strip so I don’t waste the blood.

Diabetes + Bitching about diabetes injustices = Diabetes Bitch Switch Being flipped!

Test Strip: Necessary, expensive and always finding them in the oddest places.

Lancet: Makes me think of the band BLUNT LANCET and The VH1 Special AND how I need to get me one of their tee-shirts!

Wilfred Brimley: "DIABEETUS, DIABEETUS... ROCK ME DIABEETUS."

If I see a circle, I immediately think it should be BLUE.

If's it's Friday, I immediately wear BLUE.

If I see shoes, I wonder if they might come in BLUE.

Batteries: Food for my Insulin Pump.

A bathroom floor with tiles - especially the 12X12 porcelain tiles: Danger to my insulin bottle if it smashes on said tile floor. Seriously, that's what goes through my head.

White/Light Colored Shirt: Murphy’s Law diabetes style. A.K. A, I always seem to get an abdomen Diabetes Gusher when I'm wearing one!

TSA: Trouble when traveling for people with diabetes and any other medical issues.

Coffee: Time to bolus.

Hot weather: Skunky insulin.

Diet Coke: Scott Johnson.

Glucose Tabs: Mixed fruit flavor is my favorite.

Sex: YES PLEASE & do I wear my pump during or do I leave it on the nightstand..... next to the glucose tabs?

Thanksgiving: Extended temp basal rate or a Duel Wave bolus?

Exercise: How much food do I need to ingest before and do I cut my basal rate in 1/2 or by 2/3rd's and and for how long before and after?

Dog Pile On The Rabbit: Dog Pile On The Diabetes .

Dogs: I want one and if it could sniff out a low blood sugar, that would be great.

Butter Compartment: A home for my insulin and LeeAnn’s Blog.

What words/ things/ phrases, etc., make you think of Diabetes? Bueller, Bueller??

"Dog Pile On The Diabetes, Dog Pile On The Diabetes!!!"

Way back when I was first diagnosed with "the diabetes," Looney Tunes used to air really early on Saturday mornings and occasionally every now and then in the afternoons.
On Saturday mornings I'd get up super early and my oldest brother would usually be walking in the door from God knows where - and we'd watch tv together.
He loved the Looney Tunes and because he did, I did.
Plus, they were really funny!
And I specifically remember the above cartoon and laughing out loud.
I also remember that after I watched said cartoon, I got up and started dancing around the living room singing: Dog pile on the diabetes, dog pile on the diabetes, dog pile on the diabetes!
Yes, I was sort of a weird kid who was highly influenced by what she saw on television.
But here's the thing: Even today, during those moments when I'm kicking diabetes ass and to the curb and go from the diabetes underdog to the diabetes top dog, I still sing out loud:
Dog pile on the diabetes, dog pile on the diabetes!!!
And with any luck, you won't be able to get that phrase out of your head now either!!!
Are you singing it yet??? Are people looking at you at work like your crazy???
YES, My diabetesalicious plan is succeeding!!!
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Confusion Among The Accessories, Diabetes Style ~

Claw clips are to be worn on your head, not your hip~

So, yesterday I had to be out the door somewhat early. Not crack of dawn early mind you, but early. And it was 25 degrees out, and my bed was warm and toasty so I hit the snooze button several times. Did I mention it was cold out??

Anyway, I got out of bed, took my blood sugar (102,) made some coffee (The Trader Joe’s Gingerbread Coffee is almost gone and I was none too happy about that,) bolused fo said coffee and blueberry greek yogurt, disconnected my insulin pump, jumped into the shower, washed up, & continued to get all Kellyfied for work.

Before I left my home base, I quickly went to grab my insulin pump & clip it back onto my trousers, which also happened to be the same exact moment I'd come to the realization that I should also grab the little black hair claw hair clip on my dresser. Because quite frankly, all signs pointed to a bad hair day and who the hell needs to deal with that. I'd just wear my hair down on the way to work because it's actually warmer (I kid you not, wearing your hair down IS warmer,) and then clip it back lightening quick into a nice chignon (fancy word for bun) when I arrived at work.

Cut to around 1ish when I went to go pee. Which is precisely when I realized that I didn’t have any tubing anywhere in the vicinity of my trousers. And then I sort of quietly freaked out right there on the john.

And the conversation between me and my brain went something like this: Where the hell’s my pump and why the hell didn’t I notice this earlier, because this is like the second time I’ve peed since I got here??? Did I leave my pump at home? God, I hope I left my pump at home. Did I leave it at Starbucks? No dummy, you didn't even bolus for your coffee at Starbucks because you thought your breakfast bolus would cover it. You're just batting a thousand this morning, Einstein!!!

And then I snapped out of it, grabbed the right side of my belt and felt around where the pump would have clipped...... And realized that something was indeed clipped there, except it wasn’t my pump. It was that little black claw hair clip.

Yes, yours truly had somehow got her accessories signals crossed regarding the hair clip and clipping on my insulin pump.

And I was very relieved that I hadn't lost my insulin pump, but I was incredibly mortified that:

  1. I left my pump at home (this has happened to me a lot as of late, and I'm not sure why)
  2. I knew my blood sugar was heading towards Canada and that's always a bummer
  3. I’d been walking around with my hair down on what was indeed a bad hair day.

And then I laughed out loud because let’s face it, it was funny and the situation could have been so much worse.

So I went home at lunch and retrieved my 8 year old pump, did a correction bolus for my now 260 blood sugar, grabbed a bottle of water and went back to work. And still somehow managed to never deal with my bad hair day. But my blood sugar went back to normal faster than usual and was finally able to eat lunch around around 3 p.m.

Plus, I got a blog post out of it....So... Ya, I got that going for me ~

Wordless Wednesday: I Saw This & Immediately Wondered If I'd Remembered To Bring Spare Batteries For My Insulin Pump ~

The Energizer Bunny Spotted in NYC.

I Saw the bunny & immediately thought: Did I remember to bring spare batteries for my insulin pump?
Also, diabetes personified as the Energizer Bunny - It keeps going...and going... and going!

If My Diabetes Had A Voice. Or: She Who Lives In A Glass Bitch House Should Not Be Throwing Stones....

I have a diabetes voice and I’m not afraid to use it - we all know that!

And you all have a diabetes voice, and it’s my hope that you use it for yourself and others.

But right now I wish my diabetes had a voice - Like an audible one that spoke fluent English in a diabetes dialect, so it could tell me what the heck’s going on!

OK, here’s the thing, I haven’t been running high, but I haven’t been running low these past few days either. Instead, I’ve been in the mid 160s & 170s since Monday. I feel fine, but it’s annoying none the less.

I just want my normal numbers back.

I wish diabetes could just tell me straight up what’s going on. And in my head, I imagine that our conversation would go something like this:

Diabetes: Yo Kel, I think there’s a good chance your sinuses are acting up again - Or your catching a summer cold. Something's going on - Have you seen your numbers lately!

Me: Yeah, I figured as much. And of course I’ve seen my numbers! It’s not like you give me any choice about being a human pincushion. Seriously, do you think I just fell of the Diabetes Turnip Truck yesterday?

Diabetes: So why not up the temporary basal rate already?

Me: OK, first of all, I was seriously considering upping my temporary basal rate, but I thought maybe you were just being bitchy, which is why I waited.

Diabetes: No, this has nothing to do with my bitchiness. And need I remind you that she who lives in a glass Bitch House should not be throwing stones. Catch my drift?

Me: Dually noted - But let's face it, you flipped my Diabetes BitchSwitch when you went ape shit on my Islet of Langerhans back in the third grade. But thanks for communicating re: elevated blood sugars linked to a cold/ sinus iss- ue. My ears are starting to hurt - I think it’s my sinuses. I’m upping my temporary basal rate for the next 24 hours and taking it from there.

Diabetes: That sounds like a plan.

Me: Now about you going all medieval on my Islets of Langerhans back in the day...........
